Where is Spring?

It’s snowing again and as much as I like watching the flakes fall, I am ready for spring. I am anxiously awaiting the little green shoots which will peak through the leaves I didn’t rake in the Fall. I am eagerly anticipating the first purple Crocus and, then, just when I’ve given up hope, my Daffodils making an appearance.
I need the sun to be warm, inviting me to spend time in my garden helping the earth and the plants prepare for those magical summer months. I am looking forward to hearing the birds singing when I wake up in the morning. I am ready for winter to be over.
The Canadian Cancer Society will be selling Daffodils on April 2. I signed up, in advance, for two bunches of their Daffodils. The “donation” will be well spent and the Daffodils will come home to remind me Spring and the warm sunshine are just around the corner.
